We've got orders flying out the door today and tomorrow! Some of our marshmallows are headed to a local classroom event tomorrow where kids and teachers are being surprised with our yummy treats. While other marshmallows are headed to California for a Mother's Day family event. I'm sure Mom is gonna be super happy with her surprise! Another order of our handcrafted marshmallows are headed to Kanas where our first Etsy order was placed from :D Super excited about all the love we're feeling from our new customers!
The picture above only shows 1/2 of the orders, we're taking a break to blog while the cookies are in the oven baking for some of our delicious cookie marshmallows. The kitchen is really starting to smell yummy!

If you haven't heard of a Lemon Bar Marshmallow before its because we're the only ones that make them! A delicate and light lemon marshmallow that sits on top of a soft vanilla cookie and slightly dusted with powdered sugar....are you drooling yet? So far these marshmallows are our customer favorite and we're really getting known for these amazing treats.
It's not like anything else you have ever tried before! These ARE NOT your store bought marshmallows...these are handcrafted with delicate flavors that melt in your mouth with a subtle sweetness that will make any sweet tooth satisfied! Click here to order your marshmallow treats!  People that know me, know I can be a competitive person. So when some co-workers at my "real" job setup a baking contest, I jumped all over it! I was so excited about it because first of all, I truly LOVE baking! And second of all, who doesn't want to try and get bragging rights over their co-workers... After a couple of fun contests, our judges decided to throw us a loop with a mandatory ingredient of Marshmallow. Never working with this ingredient, I immediately started researching on how to make homemade marshmallows and how to incorporate it with a cookie. The picture you see is the result...not too pretty I know but I knew I was on to something and I just needed to work on it. So in the kitchen I went, trying different recipes, flavors and techniques. I used my coworkers and family as taste testers over and over again (and still do!) until I finally found my groove. The pic below shows the growth and progress of my baking skills and I'm very proud of my version of a Lemon Bar Marshmallow. I kept the cookie again but this time my light airy lemon marshmallow sits onto of a sweet sugar cookie. This marshmallow melts in your mouth and is a customer favorite!  Shortly after launching my Facebook page and my website, I put the focus on marshmallows and people around me got excited about ordering.
Baking marshmallows and cupcakes has helped me move through the recent passing of my grandmother (we were very close) and has me on the path towards my dream: owning my own bakery. I am extremely grateful for all the support that friends and family have given me over the last weeks. And I am very excited about what the future holds for me and Fluff It! |
